Every boat trailer manufacturer utilizes different components and construction in the design of their trailers. All Loadmaster Trailers are manufactured out of structural, C-Channel steel, which are then custom painted in-house, or hot dip galvanized for saltwater protection. We choose to construct our trailers out of heavy C-Channel steel, rather than tube steel, to prevent any internal rust/structural issues that can arise with tube steel.
Unlike many other companies, all Loadmaster Trailers are built to order and designed specifically for each boat and customer. We do not stock generic boat trailers; rather we build every boat trailer to the necessary specifications of the boat’s hull for proper fit and to ensure adequate hull protection. Some of the many style boats we build for include: powerboats, sailboats, tunnel hulls and catamarans, antique and classic boats, personal water crafts, lobster boats, air boats, and more. We also build custom flatbed trailers, combination trailers, and stack trailers.
The support system on our powerboat trailers consists of treated lumber, marine carpeted bunks which are placed according to the hull specs; making loading and launching your boat a breeze. In design, we account for strake placement, intakes/thru-hulls location, deadrise, and the shape of the hull and keel, before the design work is configured.
Each boat trailer is equipped with submersible all wheel, electric drum brakes and LED lights; however, because we build to order, there are numerous brake and component options available. Some additional standard features include: tongue jack, winch stand with a heavy 2 speed manual winch, bow stop, safety breakaway system, safety chain, and more!
As a small sized, family owned business located on Lake Erie, we pride ourselves in constructing high quality trailers at an affordable price that our customers trust. Our goal is to make your loading, launching and towing experience easy, safe and enjoyable.
